I was looking back at some of the adoptable dogs that I have featured and many have been adopted. Sadly, only two from my original post on Karma Rescue have found their forever homes, so I thought I would share these gentle dogs again with you. While I understand that most of my readers aren’t looking to adopt, I am hoping you will share them. Each of these dogs were picked to be featured here because of their sweet and easy going personalities.
Karma Rescue is a 501(c)3 organization run entirely on charitable contributions. Karma rescue saves dogs from high kill shelters. Each animal receives medical care, behavioral and socialization training when needed, and is placed in a foster home until permanently adopted. Karma Rescue is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this weekend.
Here are just a few of the wonderful dogs available for adoption through Karma Rescue. All of these gentle dogs are neutered, up to date on shots, housebroken and friendly!
Kai has been working with a great dog trainer in LA. He is very good with other dogs and kids. From Kai: “I’m about 6 years old (June 2013). I have been through training with one of the best trainers in LA. I am looking for a companion that will help me to keep up with my training. I’ve recently passed the Canine Good Citizen test and received my Canine Good Citizen Certification! I am eager to please and would like a home that provides consistent training and structure. I am such a lover…I love everyone I meet. My perfect home would have the balance of love, leadership and family. I hope to find that soon!”
Noah loves running on the treadmill! From Noah: ” I was rescued from the shelter by Karma Rescue because they could not pass up a big softie. I’m great on the leash and I make friends easily. I’ve recently passed the Canine Good Citizen test and received my Canine Good Citizen Certification! I’m currently living in a great foster home that gives me lots of love, walks, and I even learned how to walk on the treadmill! I’m an easy going fella. I am crate trained and I have good house manners. I’m looking for a home that will appreciate all I have to give and give me lots of love in return.”
Rambo is a foster home with other dogs and gets along great with them! From Rambo: “Hey! I’m Rambo and I’m 5 years old (April 2013). People tell me that I’m a fun and silly guy! I love to roll on my back in the grass and make you laugh. I get along great with other dogs, and I currently am being fostered with many dogs. We’re all great friends and we love to play! I walk great on a leash, I’m smart, and eager to please. I’m crate trained and I love to exercise. If you love to walk, run or hike, I’m your guy!”
Chloe is very well mannered, listens well and loves to exercise! Chloe is a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Pit Bull mix and recently received her Good Canine Certification. From Chloe: “I’m a petite girl and I’m about 6 years old (June 2013) and I’m a love bug. I’m a fun gal who loves to play. I have great manners and I listen to my people very well. I’ve recently passed the Canine Good Citizen test and received my Canine Good Citizen Certification! I really enjoy exercise and to me, there’s nothing better than spending the afternoon hiking! I thrive in a home with exercise and structure. I’m looking forward to becoming a part of a great family soon…I can’t wait to meet you!”
Ollie loves to be outside with his foster family: hiking, walking, rollerblading, they do it all! From Ollie: “I’m quite the outdoors man as I love outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, running next to a bicycle, skateboard, and even rollerblading with my favorite friends! I walk perfectly on a leash, right by your side! I’ve recently passed the Canine Good Citizen test and received my Canine Good Citizen Certification! I’m a great listener, and I know basic commands such as “sit”, “stay”, “down”, and “off”. I’m VERY affectionate with the people and I love to make doggy friends! I am looking for a home that will continue to provide me with the structured environment that I thrive in.”
Karma Rescue reminds us “Pit Bulls personalities are energetic, loyal, intelligent, fun loving, and affectionate. They need intelligent, responsible, and dedicated leadership. Because of the breed’s undeserved negative media image, human companions living with a pit bull have to be more careful and responsible than the average human dog companion.”
Karma Rescue is based in Santa Monica, California. Be sure to like Karma Rescue on Facebook. For more information about Pit bulls, please check out StubbyDog.org.
