Smidgen is so cute in these photos, I wouldn’t have guess she was a senior or nearing the end of her life. I think its particularly important to get photos when your dog is healthy and full of life. One of my favorite photos (and I have thousands of photos) is one I took when I was about 12. Our Yorkie was playing in the front yard and the photo showed all of her real personality.

I never though of specifically arranging a photo shoot as a dog is nearing the end of his or her life. But I understand it.

Having pictures of my dogs when they pass has always been very important to me.
