I have a sweet spot for old dogs, and I’m pretty sure they don’t come any sweeter than Edward. I’ve been in love with Ed ever since I saw him on the Chocolate Moose Images blog in 2011. Naturally, a dog who is as handsome and distinguished as Edward has extraordinary skills. He wrote his own bio and the multi-talented Jess was kind enough to translate it for me. I have been so excited to share these wonderful portraits of Ed and his adorable sister, Gwen.
From Edward:
“Hello Humans,
My name is Edward Leroy, and I am a one-eyed pug. I write to inform you this because not everyone seems to notice it immediately, as I am good at hiding things. For instance, I am nearly 13 years old as well-but you couldn’t tell it from the young, spry look on my face. This other more pigmented creature next to me is my little sister Gweneth Margaret. She is 2, and she does not hide it well – at all.
We live in Roberts, WI with our two owners, Aaron and Emily Steffen – and our Master – 9 month old Ezekiel. He can be ruthless at times with his constant insistence on me “retrieving” the things he has thrown, but in all, he is a good man. His parents thought that giving their dogs middle names would be a fun idea. I’ll agree it was at least “unique.”
We have a nice fenced yard Gwen can run in, and where I spend my afternoons lying in the the sun. I do need to get my customary 20 hours of sleep per day somehow. While I’m not sleeping, I like to lay quietly with my eye closed, or meditate while snoring to confuse my enemies (Gwen). Speaking of Gwen again, she likes to chase things. Butterflies, cows, the wind – it doesn’t really matter what-as long as she looks tough.
I’ll have you know that you are quite fortunate to be viewing these digital images of me. I usually try to avoid the art of picture taking as it is well known that cameras steal your soul. Every once in a while I risk it though.”
Thank you Edward for taking the chance and letting Jess photograph you! I am sure she was extremely gentle and took great care with your soul! You can see more of Edward and Gwen sprinkled on the Chocolate Moose Image pet photography blog. I recommend doing a search on “pug” so you don’t miss a single image! You’ll find a few more cuties that way too!
