If you’ve been a long time reader of the Daily Dog Tag, you know how awesome I think Anthony Helton from Purple Collar Pet Photography is. If you aren’t already familiar with his photography, you are in for a treat today! This handsome dog is El Dorado and he is irresistible! This isn’t a fashion blog, but I have to say, I love his person’s boots as well.
From Anthony: “I can honestly say that I’ve loved working with every dog and cat that I’ve met, but I find working with senior dogs to be a particularly special privilege, and El Dorado was no exception. Maybe I’m just a sucker for sweet white faces, or maybe it was seeing how much (hint: a lot) this beautiful boy still loved his favorite things in the world — his people, his treats, and the chance to run freely — even though he’s not as spry as he once was. Whatever it was, being with El Dorado that day moved me.
Dogs never cease to amaze me; their ability to love us unconditionally, or effortlessly adapt to new situations that would leave us stunned, is nothing short of breathtakingly inspirational. I could only hope to face the world half so bravely as millions of dogs across the world do every day. And so when I see a dog like El Dorado, who still has so much love and joy in his heart despite the inconveniences of old age, I just want to hug him, tell him that he’s such a good boy, and never let go.”
You can see more of El Dorado on Anthony’s pet photography blog.
Anthony’s photos are featured in the book Where”s Franklin? which is now available for pre-order. 20% of the profits will be donated to CorgiPals.

Beautiful doggie too!
Wow…he really is a talented photographer, and it’s so sweet that he loves working with seniors too. (I’ve got two of those myself, and everyday with them is a gift). 🙂
Love the portraits with the scarf- so cute!
