While I vehemently object to the treatment of the dogs of Sochi and Russia’s anti-gay laws, I am still excited about the Winter Olympics. Like many people, I dreamed of going to the Games as a participant. Reality quickly set in. Although I will never be a world-class athlete, I have held on to the belief that the Olympics are a place for the best of the best to compete with each other with good sportsmanship and camaraderie. They create a sense of national pride and also world pride, for once every four years, people can put aside their differences and come together in sports arenas and cheer. We can root for our favorites and the underdogs, marvel at the skills of individuals and teams, and sympathize with the defeated. We wish all the athletes the best of luck!

I love everything here, but especially have my eyes on those lovely Heath espresso cups! One of my favorite design/ houseware companies of all time!
All of these products are wonderful and your sentiment about the Olympics is spot-on.
