Engagement photos should be a reflection of who you are as a couple. And if you’re a dog lover, you should include the dogs! Mo and Mackenzie brought their adorable dogs, Penny and Bear, to their engagement session with Wildflower Barn Photography.
From the photographer: “Mo and Mackenzie have a fall wedding planning in the gorgeous Texas Hill Country. They had portraits taken at their wedding venue and included their two rescue dogs, Penny and Bear. These sweet dogs are such a special part of their lives, and it was such a joy capturing them in these moments. They plan on an intimate wedding ceremony with only their immediate family and a fun, laid back reception to follow.”
From Mackenzie and Mo: “Both Penny and Bear are rescue dogs, that hold a special place in our hearts (but especially avid dog lover Mackenzie’s). Bear is an older Maltipoo. However, he is as energetic as a puppy and runs our household at times! He steals socks, demands to go on longer walks, and loves to hang his head out of the car window to feel the wind in his hair.
Penny is a younger Chiweenie mix – she is the most docile, loving, mama dog you would ever meet.
She mainly loves her mom, sleeping, and eating. We didn’t anticipate having two rescue dogs (or two dogs at all), but as soon as we saw Penny at an adoption event, Mackenzie knew she was the one for Bear. Penny helps calm his separation anxiety and is an overall calming presence. The two dogs mean so much to Mackenzie that Mo knew they needed to be involved in the engagement. They were both wearing shirts that said ‘Will you marry my dad?’ and of course she said yes!”
Rescue dogs make great companions! Adopt your new best friend.
