Houston photographer Vanessa Rameriz from Portraits of Blessings describes herself as a Bulldog Mom on her Instagram profile. So it is no surprise that she threw a lovely Cake Smash for her English Bulldogs, Ruby and Maddie, along with their friend, Lulu. Whenever a photographer throws a dog party, you can expect some beautiful details.
From Vanessa: “I’m the proud parent to two bulldogs. Ruby and Maddie. I run the Houston English Bulldog Meetup, and that is how I met my BFF Kristine! Her bulldog is Lulu. I had this great idea to do a cake smash session for my girls, they’re both born in February, and I invited Kristine and Lulu to join in on the fun. My florist friend Holly from Flower Vibes made us our flower crown/collar, and AtoZ cakes made the doggy friendly cakes. The shoot was a huge success, and the girls had a blast.
Ruby, the fawn Bulldog, was turning nine years old. We’ve had her since she was a puppy. Ruby is very stubborn, terrible to potty train, but she has wiggles for days. She gives full body wiggles and tosses her head around when she’s happy. Ruby is a daddy’s girl. She’s high energy for a bulldog and a crazy long tongue. Ruby loves to play fetch and goes to dog parks for the people.
Maddie, the white Bulldog, was turning seven years old. We adopted her when she was three years old. At first, Maddie was a bit shy and didn’t greet us at the door. Then one day, there she was! Then after a while, Maddie would greet us with little nubby wags, and now she does a whole dance for us with a toy in her mouth! She’s been an angel from day one, and she’s a momma’s girl. Loves to play tug of war and prefers to spend her days napping on the sofa. Very lazy.
Lulu, the white Bulldog with brown spots, was turning 11 years old. My BFF Kristine has had her since she was a puppy. Lulu had a love for sheetrock and window sills. Her daily goal was to pester her older bulldog brother Jack. She enjoys taking trips with her mom for work and likes to spend her evenings with a chew.
If you are thinking about adding an English Bulldog to your family, please consider adopting one!
