There’s no place like home for the holidays, and it would be fantastic for this guy to experience that firsthand. Kathryn Schauer photographed Freedom the handsome terrier mix. He is up for adoption at Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford, Connecticut.
Freedom is a young dog and is house trained, neutered and up to date on all of his shots.

We are so so sad for him because he is such a beautiful dog with a wonderful personality. Freedom likes other animals and children, but we think he should go into a home where he would get all the love and attention so he can decompress. Can all of our followers please SHARE his story so we can get him a home for Christmas. We just know there has to be someone out there for this sweet guy!”
If you are interested in adopting Freedom, please contact the shelter and fill out an application.
If you can’t adopt, please share Freedom. [bctt tweet=”Sweet young Terrier mix is hoping to be home this year! He is available from Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter. Photo by @KathrynJSchauer.” username=”dailydogtag”]

Oh this is breaking my heart, you can see the hope and sadness in Freedom’s eyes. I hope he gets his Christmas miracle. I’m going to tweet and share on Facebook.
Freedom is very handsome! I so hope he finds a perfect home in time for the holidays.
I wish that every animal in a shelter finds a home for the holidays, it just breaks my heart to see what is happening with people dumping at the moment also 🙁
Thanks, it is very sad that some people just dump their pets, I can’t imagine doing that.
I love that name – Freedom! You are an angel that you photographed him so beautifully – he is very handsome!
OMC! What a handsome dog Freedom is! These photos of him are fantastic. Sometimes a good photo can make all the difference. We hope Freedom gets his “freedom” from the shelter and a new home real soon.
Thanks, Kathryn did a great job with his photos, I hope he’ll be adopted soon!
Oh, I sure hope he finds a home for the holidays! Nothing could be a better gift for him, or his future family. Thanks for highlighting this special doggy.
I can’t help but think how he’s going to enrich his future family’s life. I hope it happens soon.
OMG what an angel. I am so sad for these babies that are born into these lives of hell, but I hope soon Freedom will find his happy furever he so deserves. These images are stunning!
It breaks my heart whenever I learn about such a rough past, but it also makes me feel so lucky to live in a world filled with kind people, like the ones who have helped Freedom.
Aww, I do hope this sweetie finds a home for the holidays.
We truly hope Freedom can find a wonderful forever home for the holidays. Someone will be so lucky to bring him home with them.
What a handsome fellow! Her certainly deserves a loving family and home. I know that despite his background – or perhaps because of it – he will cherish a furever home even more! Sending hugs and wishes that his dream of a family will come true soon!
Go Freedom, go! Dogs are such amazing, resilient creatures – retaining their joyful and loving spirit. I know Freedom is in good hands now and will be ‘home’ for the holidays very soon! What a handsome boy!
Freedom is such a sweet boy, who can say no to that face? I hope he gets his forever home soon!
Thanks, Paroma! I hope he does too.
How could I not comment on a post for a dog looking for a home. Freedom is exactly who I would want for my next dog. I do hope he finds a loving home soon…every animal deserves one. I will be sharing in hopes!
