Madison the Golden Retriever might have stolen the spotlight in this summer engagement session from Casey Hendrickson Photography, but nobody minded!
From Alicia: “Mike and I got Madison as a puppy from a family friend/breeder in Wisconsin in 2013.
Even though she is a pure championship bloodline Golden Retriever, the breeder couldn’t use her as a show dog only because of the cowlick or as we call it the ‘tiny mohawk’ that is on her nose.
Even though she is not from Madison, Wisconsin, we chose her name because it is the state capital… and a cute name!
She is going to be five years old on April 4th!
When we go to dog parks, she loves saying hi to the people there versus the other dogs. Everyone that she meets says she’s so sweet. She is such a lover and melts your heart. Our dog loves being outside, chewing on sticks and being pet. If you stop petting, she will paw at you like ‘hey I’m still here, keep going!’
She is so smart, loves to cuddle, be treated to peanut butter and run around the park trails.”

I love this photo shoot. She just has a great “smile” and way of looking at you through the camera… Some people/dogs are just photogenic and draw your eyes to them.
Madison is so beautiful- I love goldens and those are stunning photos. That little mark on her tongue looks like a heart at first, then the ring on the nose- awww. Great smiles all around.
