I’ve always thought that creativity and compassion go hand in hand. I was delighted to discover that Jessica Klier from Draw Dawgs combines her artistic talent with helping homeless pets.
From Jessica: “I started Draw Dawgs in 2017 in hopes that I could create special keepsakes for dog lovers while giving back to animal shelters and rescue groups.
My two rescue dogs are from Los Angeles and they have been my sole inspiration behind Draw Dawgs. Each patron gets to choose an organization near and dear to them that will benefit from 25% of the commission cost. Spokane Humane Society, Life Savers Animal Rescue, West LA Animal Shelter, and The Lange Foundation are just a few groups who have been supported by these donations.”
In addition to the dogs, Jessica adds in some wonderful details! I adore the succulents, but it was such fun to find some favorite characters in one of the portraits.
In case you are wondering, Jessica also draws cats.
A pet portrait is a lovely gift for any animal lover! Gift certificates are available. For more information, be sure to DM Draw Dawgs on Instagram or check her website, Draw Dawgs.

I love her artwork and love her support of shelters even more! Very, very happy she does cats too!
She even drew a portrait of a cat who was in need of a home! The person who adopted the cat also received the portrait!

Her drawings are lovely and it’s great that they benefit rescues as well. I have tons of photos of Mr. N but no portraits yet.
I’d say it is time to get some art of Mr. N!

What beautiful drawings she does! I think it’s so great that not only does she give back to shelters and rescues, but lets the client choose which one too.
You are right, choosing the rescue would be very meaningful.
How passionate drawing! All the dogs are so cute! Love you Jessica.

Wow! Jessica sure is talented! I would love a piece done with Sulley and Junior. Even more, one of my dogs of the past that are now in Heaven. These are so beautifully done! Thank you for sharing!
I’m hoping to get portraits of some of my dogs from my youth. I haven’t been able to track down any of the photos though.
