I try to keep up with Theo, the service and therapy dog. Recently I found out he has a sweet foster sister, Lila. She is a beauty and and in need of a the perfect family. When Kimberly Wang from Eardog Productions asked me to share Lila’s photos to help find her a forever family, I happily said yes.
She is extremely quick to learn and very eager to please. Lila takes well to training and in three months has already learned: sit, down, down stay, come, leave it, watch, roll over, jump, touch, go under, shake, paws up, crawl, ring the bell, and more!
Lila would do very well in a home with another, well trained dog/friendly dog with whom she can wrestle and play, though this is not mandatory.
She has very little experience with cats, so, unfortunately, we don’t know how she reacts around them.
Lila is polite around children (we’ve taught her to sit before greeting people, especially children) and she’s compatible with other dogs. She can be a rambunctious playmate, but also displays excellent playground manners at the dog run.
Lila thrives on strong leadership and close companionship and needs an experienced owner who will spend a lot of time with her (someone who works from home is ideal), exercise her a ton, (she’s an excellent runner) and continue with her training. She bonds quickly with people who are calm and who are accustomed to providing clear direction to dogs.
She also has the softest ears imaginable and loves to have her belly rubbed!
Lila is a wonderful dog and has tremendous potential. We’re sorry, but only experienced dog owners will be considered.”
