From Mandy: “These photos were done at a beautiful old family farm in Southeast Missouri, where I’m from. I’ve known Nicki since kindergarten. Nicki and her husband Jeff have two kids, Jake and Zach, and two dogs, Pepper and Axyl.”
From Nicki: “Pepper is a seven-year-old Westie. She loves to let us know when anyone is walking in the neighborhood or if there is a squirrel in the backyard. She loves going on walks and saying hi to the other neighborhood dogs. Pepper also loves to sit in our chair, right next to me. 
Axyl is a three-year-old mixed breed. He is part Lab and part Mastiff. Axyl is mostly laid back but has learned how to spot walkers and squirrels, thanks to his sister. He can be a bit scary at first but has never met a stranger.
The UPS and FedEx folks are getting to know him, but I still go out to make sure they know his name and that he’s very friendly. He is a rescue, but not from an organization. He was born to a family who could not keep him, and we asked to be considered. We adopted him after our first lab/mastiff mix, Cooper, passed from cancer. Ax is large, goofy, and as sweet as he can be!”

Those two seem very different but seem to have great personalities. They are cute together and a nice couple for a family.
I love photos like this. When we do another family photo, I’d love to include the cats and guinea pigs in at least one, but I imagine it would be tough, ha. But amusing!
