Capturing special moments is Colorado elopement photographer Sheena Shahahangian’s job. When Sheena was living in Atlanta, she helped Roshan plan the perfect rooftop proposal. Roshan had a little help from Simba, their Golden Retriever puppy. Spoiler alert: Candace said, “yes!”
When you have a puppy named Simba, you have to get this photo!
From Sheena: “Candace and Roshan first met while going to school at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. She was studying architecture. He, aerospace engineering. The bond they formed during their freshman year grew stronger and stronger, and their relationship continued throughout their entire undergraduate experience. They both decided to attend graduate school at Georgia Tech as well, and it was during this time that Roshan reached out to me to talk about proposing to Candace.
I’ve actually known these two for years and had the honor of watching them as their relationship bloomed over the years. So, naturally, when Roshan told me he wanted to propose to Candace, I couldn’t have been more excited.
The two of us met up and schemed fun ideas and ways he could pop the question. We planned to make Candace think that Roshan had just scheduled a couples session with me to get some photos of the two of them on campus. Little did she know, a rooftop proposal was on the way. And even better, their Golden Retriever puppy, Simba, that they had just adopted a few days ago, would be the one carrying the ring around his collar. To say that Simba was a total star would be an absolute understatement. He truly showed up for his new mom and dad and ultimately helped seal the deal for Roshan to get his girl.”
Simba has grown up a lot since those photos, thanks to Roshan for this image!
