As much as I love on-location portraits, studio photography is a great choice for many reasons, especially when the weather is too hot, too cold, or too wet! Sunny, the red merle Aussie, had a blast with Katie from The Beloved Pup Photo Studio in Birmingham, Alabama. Katie captured the many sides of Sunny, from the glamorous to the goofy!
From Katie: “Sunny is so sweet and knows so many tricks! She’s a gorgeous 1-year-old red merle Aussie and truly motivated to work!
I have always been a huge animal lover with tons of pets.
After over eight years of working as a professional wedding photographer here in Birmingham, Alabama, and around the United States, I decided I wanted to have a creative outlet working with my favorite animals, dogs!
It has been such a blessing to photograph these amazing animals.”

OMG…could this dog be any cuter??!!! Love the photos; so adorable.
I have to share with my sister-in-law. She is obsessed with her dog. I’m sure she’d jump on doing this for her Mila.

I would love to do this with my Yorkie. He will need a haircut first but he has always been photogenic.

These are amazing. There is something one can achieve in a studio than anywhere else.

These came out so great, I love the colorful backgrounds & the bubbles LOL! What a gorgeous dog, beautiful poses. I had professional studio pics taken of Icy years ago but they weren’t anywhere near as good as these.

Sunny is just stunning! I usually like photos taken in natural settings, but there’s something special about the studio portraits too. It really lets you just focus on the beaty of the subject without any distractions.
The photo with the dog and the ball is my favorite. It reminds me of my dog!
How adorable! I love all the shots especially the one with the bubbles.
OMG!! These photos are beyond words. I had thought I wanted outside photos done with Henry, but these studio photos with Sunny are out of this world! I especially love the close-up with the yellow background. WOW!!! What a great idea to bring the fur kids into the studio. There should be fewer distractions and the photos are proof positive that it works. I’m sharing this article with all my pet parents.

These portraits of Sunny are absolutely STUNNING! I love the idea of studio portraits…just another wonderful way to capture the essence of our beloved dogs. The Belovedt Pup Photo Studio took amazing shots! I love the bubbles one, but also the high paw! The tongue out ones are so silly, and I just love them all. Really shows Sunny’s personality!
