Hound mixes, Pepper and Jack, and their two favorite people, Samantha and Dillon met up with Dennis from Charleston Photo Art for a lovely photo session. Living in Central New York, I am a little jealous of their warm February weather!
From Samantha: “Our pups’ names are Pepper (the black one) and Jack (the white and brown spotted one) and when you put their names together, they are PepperJack! Like Pepperjack cheese. They are both hound mixes. Their nicknames are Chompy & Stompy because Jack loves to chomp at things and Pepper loves to stomp you awake in the morning.
Pepper is 4 now and we adopted her from the Jayne Boswell Animal Shelter about 2 years ago. She was abused before we adopted her (which may be why she only has one eye,) but she’s a total sweetheart! Jack just turned one and we adopted him from the Charleston Animal Society about a year ago.
They have love fetching tennis balls at Ackerman Park in West Ashley or the dog park at James Island County Park. James Island Park is probably their favorite place to go because they can cool off in the water there! We also love going to Magnolia Plantation (Pepper loves watching the peacocks and riding the boat).
The best thing about Jack is that he is so funny and just SO HAPPY all the time! He loves everyone and loves playtime and cuddles. Pepper is the cuddle queen though! She so sweet and can always sense when something is wrong. She is also very protective of our family.
The most rewarding thing about having pets is having someone that always looks forward to being with you. They are so loving and grateful and are always there to provide a good laugh! Our pups are so funny and sweet. My boyfriend, Dillon, and I are always entertained and loved with the pups in the house.”
You don’t need a big event to have professional portraits taken, just celebrating the ones you love is enough! Find a pet-friendly photographer near you.
