Piper, the mixed breed, may have stolen the spotlight just a little on Heather and Matt’s big day. However, it is clear that they wouldn’t want it any other way. They even brought her bed and water dish to the reception, so she could be included in the whole day. Thanks to Penny and Earl from Penny Photographics for sharing this dog-friendly wedding.
From Penny and Earl: “Sometimes life isn’t about the trail you are on, but who is on the trail with you.
Heather and Matt are the types of people you can lose track of time easily since they are so fun and interesting to be with. Their adventurous lifestyle has given them many stories. Heather and Matt have been to interesting places all over the world. Eventually, these adventures led them down the aisle to one another at their Green Acres Wedding.”
From Heather: “Piper is a rescue from Home For Good Dog Rescue in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Her exact breed is unknown, but she’s believed to be a mix of a variety of guard and sporting dogs, and she plays those roles.
Piper is four years old and still has lots of puppy in her. She loves to play fetch with her favorite orange ball. She loves life as a farm dog in Jordan, Minnesota!
Piper stays busy keeping the animals safe, playing with the barn cats and attempting to herd the chickens around. During the summer Piper is an avid hiking and camping dog while in the winter she stays fit by skijoring (cross country skiing with a dog pulling the skier) with us.”Matt drew this beautiful illustration for Heather. I love how Piper and their cat were included!
