One evening I was on Facebook when I came across a beautiful portrait of the most photogenic greyhound. I recognized Bunny immediately from Tales and Tails. Photographer Angel Sallade photographed this exquisite greyhound in her studio for a personal project.
I was happy to discover her lovely Greyhound sister, Flattery, had also been photographed by Angel.
From Angel: “Elegance, silliness and sweetness all rolled into two very gorgeous girls. I was interested in doing a personal project on sighthound breeds and hit the jackpot when a friend connected me with these two girls. Bunny and Flattery are beautiful representations of the greyhound, just one of many sighthound breeds. My goal was to highlight the lovely unique shape and features of the sighthounds, especially when it came to Bunny and Flattery. These girls were perfect models.”
I’ve always thought that Afghans are the supermodels of the dog world, and now I realize that greyhounds are the ballerinas.
While greyhounds may be inherently graceful, these girls have been modeling for a long time. Their mom photographs them regularly for their blog. Bunny in particular has her signature poses.
There is a lot more to these dogs (and their siblings and parents) than just beauty, Bunny is a certified therapy dog. They have two more dogs in the family, Morgan, a German Shepherd, and Kuster who is training to be a Search and Rescue dog. However, my favorite part of their blog is “The Hilarity of Everyday Life” like this post: Dogs Can Be Hazardous To Your Health.
Bunny and Flattery were both adopted through Quad Cities Greyhound Adoption.

Absolutely stunning photos of Bunny and Flattery. Angel takes photos for our local basset rescue and when I seen she was looking for a sight hounds for her project. I knew exactly who to hook her up with. Bunny’s Mom takes amazing photos and her blog is Top “Dog” in my book. If only I could get my bassets to be just sit for 2 seconds.

I am so glad that you were able to connect them! I’ve been a fan of both Angel and Bunny’s mom for years!

Ballerinas of the dog world is a good way to describe them, although we had one goofball Greyhound who was a total klutz. I often say that if Bunny were human, she’d be Grace Kelly. The jury is still out on Flattery and who she could be. I’m glad you liked the pictures! 🙂

I definitely can see Grace Kelly in Bunny!
