Rocket Larry, the Sulcata tortoise, and Puka, the Boxer mix, are the stars of one of my favorite Instagram accounts: Chilberg. I always love seeing their latest adventures. Puka is starring in one episode of a new series: Take the Lead which is a dog training show based on positive rewards.
I was delighted when Christine Hilberg asked me if I would share a Kickstarter campaign with my readers.
From Christine: “The campaign is to help fund the post-production for a series we filmed called Take The Lead with Mary Hirt.
Our series, Take the Lead with Mary Hirt, is a new style of dog training show. In the series, we follow an owner and dog for 6 weeks as they train together. You’ll see how owner and dog implement Mary’s reward-based training methods. More importantly, you’ll see all the up’s and downs that come with training in real life. We aren’t trying to hide anything in editing. Take the Lead with Mary Hirt will dynamically change the way people engage with their dog day-to-day. And the format of the show is like nothing else out there right now. Working with Mary has changed my life in the best way possible, and I know that she can help a lot of other frustrated (or bored!) dog owners out there. “
And because everyone needs more Puka in their lives, here’s a few more photos of her and her sidekicks.
You can see that Rocket Larry is ecstatic about this series, look at that tortoise grin.
We need more positivity in our lives, a lot of dogs and their humans (and maybe some more tortoises) are going to benefit from this show and I hope you’ll consider backing the Kickstarter campaign and/or sharing it!
In addition to Instagram, you can follow Puka and Rocket Larry on Packlove.
