Shannon and Max had an intimate wedding at Hampton Park in Charleston, South Carolina. Their adorable mixed breed pup, Frodo, attended the wedding. I’ve seen a lot of cute wedding dogs but rarely are do they have their own boutonniere. Thanks to Dennis from Charleston Photo Art for these photos.
I’m also a huge fan of the dress that Shannon, wore. A twirly dress is so much fun!
From Shannon: “We adopted Frodo from the All 4 Paws Animal Shelter in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. He is named after Tolkien’s famous hobbit from Lord of the Rings. Frodo is (allegedly) part Pekingese, Shih-Tzu, and Dachshund. When we got engaged, we knew Frodo had to be at the wedding. He was Frodo the VIP and definitely the best dressed.
Frodo loves going on walks and has a strong vendetta against all golden retrievers for some reason. When Frodo isn’t barking at purebreds, he enjoys snuggling on the couch, dancing on his Ikea dog couch, and playing with toys comically bigger than him. Frodo is the top dog in our household and will be spoiled forever. Frodo loves going on walks and has a strong vendetta against all golden retrievers for some reason. The best thing about having pets is being rewarded with their trust. It is such a privilege to have someone trust you implicitly, without question. Having rescued Frodo from a nonideal living situation and seeing how he has grown and thrived is such a reward.”

He is just adorable and I love his outfit. Their wedding looked amazing and am sure was so complete with having Frodo there. Nothing like a rescued mutt, I always say, the bring so much into our lives.

First off, Frodo is amazingly wonderful! Second – the bride’s shoes are the best ever! What a wonderful couple – they look joyful and fun, a perfect match. Little Frodo is lucky to have found some love – and now he gets to share his love with the world (except for Golden Retrievers)!
Frodo is so cute. Lovely photos. Such a lovely couple. Nice job!
Such a beautiful family; Dennis did an excellent job of catching all the different personalities! Frodo is adorable; he looks like a little man with a long beard and charismatic smile. LOVE Frodo!!!

Frodo’s little outfit is absolutely precious! I love seeing the different ways that people are including their pets in their big day, whether it’s actually having the pet there like this or finding another way to include them. We got married at a resort up near my family where bringing our pets along wouldn’t have been an option. However, we had a custom cake topper made that included all 4 of our pets (2 dogs and 2 cats) so that they were also part of the celebrations.
